He then joined The Mighty Makers, as their pianist.
He also played with most of the Bahamian bands of that era: Lionel and the Clipper Trio, Smokey 007 and the Exciters, Tony Seymour and his Night Beaters, Sonny Johnson and the Sunglows, Ronnie and his Ramblers, the Duke Smith Affair, the Perry Kemp Conspiracy – to name a few…

In 1980, he obtained a Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music in Boston. Upon his return to the Bahamas, Henry became extremely active as a gigging musician. From his 10-year stint with his Trio as the house band at Club Med, to conducting stagebands for special functions to being Owner and Band Leader at the popular Silk Cotton Club, a focal point for good jazz and incredible downtown jam sessions which hosted such jazz greats as Maxine Nightingale and her band. The newly formed Henry Moss Orchestra is his latest project allowing him to give free reign to his first love, arranging.
He is also busy in his Sound Wave Productions recording studio producing demos and jingles and doing voice-overs, as well as using the latest music software for his compositions and arrangements. |
